Nibbles - Chipolata twists
These are basically home assembled sausage rolls. Great when you need more substantial nibbles.
1 kg small breakfast pork sausages or chipolatas
3 tablespoons of liquid honey
3 tablespoons wholegrain mustard
1 egg, beaten
ready-rolled puff pastry cut into 2cm-wide strips
Preheat oven to 180C. In a large bowl toss the sausages with the honey and mustard. Wind a strip of pastry around each sausage then place on a baking tray. Brush with beaten egg and bake around 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden and puffy. Melt extra honey and mustard together and drizzle over the sausages when hot from the oven.
